Training, Learning & Development Overview

Rebranded as Footprint training in 2006, our training department have continued to champion its values of self-help and independent learning, enabling individuals to make their mark by empowering themselves through training and learning. Responsibility for this department was transferred to the community enterprise company STL (Step Training and Learning) in 2007.

Our team of highly professional and approachable tutors are committed to the development and provision of bespoke training programmes, delivering high quality training to members of the community. The Footprint training team remain committed to meeting individual training needs, ensuring that our clients receive maximum benefit from their learning experience in a familiar and welcoming environment. Our centre is accredited with a number of national awarding bodies including:

• City and Guilds
• OCR
• OCN

STL have also been contracted as an outreach learning centre for several successful long term training schemes, including the Learner Access and Engagement Scheme and Steps to Work. Both schemes are undertaken in partnership with South West College and funded by the Department of Education and Learning. We also offer peace building and conflict resolution training for women in conjunction with TWN at our centre.
